The quarter finals are set for the FHSAA Dual Team State Series. In the 3A Classification Deland knocked off Buchholz 47-25 and Hagerty slid by Timber Creek 36-33. Deland and Hagerty will wrestle for a shot at the semi finals.
Cypress Bad Bay knocked off Western by a score of 70-12, while South Dade made a huge statement by stomping Miami Southwest 58-16. Cypress Bay will face South Dade for a shot at meeting either Deland or Hagerty in the state duals semi finals.
On the bottom of the bracket is Kissimmee Osceola who took out Steinbrenner HS 55-20 and Palmetto Ridge who battled Riverdale to a 39-31 victory.
Fort Pierce Central beat Orlando Freedom HS 58-21 while Wellington HS beat cross county foe Olympic Heights 42-18. Osceola HS will now face Palmetto Ridge HS to see who gets a shot against the winner of Fort Pierce Central and Wellington in the semi finals.
In 2A Lincoln HS beat Gulf Breeze 39-30 and and Fleming Island stomped Middleburg 62-9. Lincoln HS will now wrestle a very strong Fleming Island squad for a shot to advance to the semi finals. Heritage and Merritt Island went at it with Merritt Island coming out on top 47-30. Miramar from Broward had little problem getting past Saint Thomas Aquinas 69-12.
Lake Gibson took out Winter Springs 51-19 and is waiting to see who they will face between Springstead and Land O’Lakes.
Tampa Jesuit beat the Manatee Mafia 41-30 and will now face Charlotte after Charlotte knocked off Barron Collier 69-13.
In 1A Suwannee Live Oak took out Wakulla 39-18 and Episcopal knocked off Yulee 42-35. The defending 1A State Champs Jensen Beach knocked off Cardinal Gibbons 41-30 and will now face Mater Lakes from Miami after Mater Lakes took out Somerset Academy 34-29.
On the bottom half Hernando beat Weeki Wachee 51-24 while Palm Bay beat up McKeel Academy 70-9. Zephyhills Christian cruised past Robinson 60-24 and First Baptist Naples beat Lemon Bay 42-21.
Hernando will face Palm Bay and Zephyhills Christian will face First Baptist Naples for a shot at the 1A Semi Finals.
